NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Guggenheim Partners confirmed that, during an examination that began two years ago, it received an inquiry from the SEC with respect to its relationship with one of its clients, Michael Milken. 

"As Guggenheim has stated publicly, Mr. Milken, while a valued client, does not have an ownership or managerial role in the Firm in any way, shape, or form," a spokesperson for the firm said.

Guggenheim said it is fully cooperating with the SEC.
