DSU Advances to CWS

The Delta State University baseball team won both of their Sunday games in thrilling fashion, as they took the field Monday looking to claim a South Region crown. Standing in their way of a region championship, and a trip to the World Series were the Tigers of Stillman College. The Statesmen used three ninth inning runs to defeat the Tigers in game one 5-2, which forced a deciding game. The Statesmen and Tigers battled in game two, but it was the Statesmen who came out on top 10-7 to claim the region championship
