Brittany Weiss joined the WXVT staff in November 2011 as a reporter and anchor.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs and a city girl at heart, she moved from New York City after working in the world of celebrity entertainment.
Her lifelong goal of working for news, reporting and anchoring the daily news brought her to the Delta. She remembers the day well – at seven years old she knew what she wanted to do with her life.
Brittany graduated from Drake University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She worked alongside Katie Couric and CBS New York during the 2008 election for the Iowa Caucuses and again during the Democratic National Convention.
One of her most memorable moments was covering The Royal Wedding in London for AOL and the Huffington Post.
In her free time, Brittany loves to read, watch morning talk shows, explore restaurants or travel to a nearby city for the day.
Brittany is thrilled to be working in the Delta and can't wait to meet members of the community.
