Federal Teaming Partners establishes a Board of Advisors and appoints Jerry Edgerton and Marlin Forbes.

Gainesville, VA (PRWEB) June 11, 2012

Federal Teaming Partners LLC announced today the formation of its Board of Advisors and the appointments of Jerry Edgerton and Marlin Forbes. The Board will provide guidance and industry trends to the management of Federal Teaming Partners on offerings and client relations as the company expands and grows.

“Adding veteran leadership to our Board of Advisors with well respected industry leaders is going to help us in numerous ways,” said Mike Proper. “The addition of industry leaders such as Jerry and Marlin to our Board of Advisors, working in conjunction with our dedicated management team, will ensure our success and client satisfaction for years to come.”

Jerry Edgerton is a proven industry leader who has provided advanced information technology adoption and implementation for over 30 years in federal agencies such as the General Services Administration, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Legislative Branch, the Department of Interior, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. To help these agencies as well as large corporations, he mobilized leading system integrators such as IBM, HP, CSC, Perot Systems, and EDS. He served as President of Government Markets at Core180. Additionally, he provides advice and governance to General Communications Inc., The Washington Home and Hospice, United Service Organization of Washington, Artel Inc., and Magor Communications Corporation.

“This is a capability that has long been needed in the Government contracting marketplace,” said Jerry Edgerton. “With the extra emphasis on small businesses providing jobs and services, very competitive and powerful combinations can come together to respond, win and implement critical solutions for Government customers."

Most recently, Marlin Forbes has advised and assisted Century-Link (formerly Qwest), Core 180, Blue Ridge Networks and iNetworks in business development, proposal development, strategic positioning, marketing and sales. Prior to starting Forba Group, Marlin served as Vice President for Verizon Federal’s Defense and International Services Division (formerly MCI) from 1999 to 2009. He was responsible for Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Department of Energy, NATO, United Kingdom Ministry of Defense, United Nations, World Bank, and Department of National Intelligence, supporting customers in over 50 countries. He retired from the US Army as a Colonel in 1997 after serving in positions of increasing responsibility with the Joint Staff, as Chief of Defense-Wide Networks and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

“I'm excited about the opportunity to help Federal Teaming Partners launch its new products and services,” said Marlin Forbes. “The needs of the federal customer are evolving rapidly and the need for a service to rapidly qualify, integrate and build dynamic new teaming partnerships in real time is critical. Federal Teaming Partners focuses exclusively on automating this domain.”
