NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A former New Orleans resident is returning as the local director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Department.

Danberry Carmon is leaving as director of the Wyoming field office and will be in Louisiana on Monday as the New Orleans field office director.

HUD says Carmon lived in New Orleans for nearly 20 years before joining HUD in 2004, and worked in Louisiana with local, state and federal housing agencies and communities.
