PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) - State police say a Port Allen man involved in a three-vehicle wreck was killed after being thrown from his vehicle.

Troopers say 57-year-old David Anding was driving a pickup south on La. Highway 1 at 6 p.m. Sunday when his vehicle veered into the oncoming northbound traffic lanes.

Anding's vehicle crossed into the path of an another pickup driven by 19-year-old Brennon Lyons of Addis.

Troopers say Lyon's vehicle struck the right side of Anding's truck, throwing Anding from the vehicle into the roadway. Authorities say Lyons' truck began to rotate before striking the front left fender of a third vehicle.

Troopers tell The Advocate that Anding was taken to Baton Rouge hospital where he died from his injuries.
