GRETNA, La. (AP) - Two corrections officers from a New Orleans suburb have been arrested in separate incidents.
Nineteen-year-old Donald Isom, of New Orleans, was fired by the Jefferson Parish sheriff's office on Tuesday, a week after he was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession following a traffic stop in New Orleans.
Another officer, 21-year-old Joshua Williams, of Metairie, was arrested Sunday by the Terrebonne Parish sheriff's office and booked on a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Williams allegedly broke into a former girlfriend's residence when she wasn't at home.
A spokesman for the Jefferson Parish sheriff's office said Williams' superiors are waiting for the Terrebonne Parish investigation to conclude before they take any disciplinary action against him. Isom, who joined the department last December, has been fired.
