SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Officials in the Shreveport area have announced a 21-stop tour providing movie fans with the opportunity to see locations where films have been made.
Tourism officials and representatives of the movie industry joined Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover on Tuesday for the formal debut of the self-guided tour.
Pam Glorioso, special projects coordinator for Bossier City, sees the film trail as a tool for economic development.
Since late 2005, 72 movie and TV projects have used the Shreveport-Bossier City area as their back lot, according to Arlena Acree, Shreveport's film, media and entertainment director.
