FLOWOOD, Miss. (AP) - Police say a former Northwest Rankin High School teacher is accused of 10 counts of sexual battery for having an alleged relationship with a 16-year-old male student.
Detective Billy Tucker with the Flowood Police Department said Tuesday that Kelly Finn Blossom of Brandon is out on $25,000 bond awaiting a grand jury hearing next month.
Tucker said Blossom allegedly had a relationship with the teen, whose name is not being released, that lasted several months.
Tucker said police began an investigation in April and issued an arrest warrant for Blossom on Sept. 9. He said Blossom turned herself in to police on Sept. 10.
