HOUMA, La. (AP) - Four people were injured when a sport-utility vehicle hit a parked car, sending the car through the front of a downtown Houma business.
The driver of the SUV, 53-year-old Paul Robert Molaison of Houma, told police he veered left to avoid hitting a dog, causing him to strike the parked car. The car slammed into a barber shop.
Four people were playing dominoes inside the barber shop around 6 p.m. Saturday when the car slammed through the brick & glass storefront. Authorities say the four men were taken to Terrebonne General Medical Center for minor leg and back injuries.
Police gave Molaison a ticket for careless operation.
