Brian Echols is a native of Memphis. As a lifelong sports fan, and youngest of four, Brian played basketball, baseball and ran track. While he had scholarship offers as a sprinter, he decided it was time to hang up his track shoes after high school and concentrate on his studies. He began his broadcasting career in radio during his senior year in high school when he hosted a one hour radio show on WQOX - the Voice of the Memphis City Schools. Brian graduated from the University of Memphis with a communications degree. His career in television began right here at WXVT in July 2007 where is weekend sports anchor and news reporter during the week. Brian's favorite teams are the Steelers, Cubs and Grizzlies.
