CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - The TAP Alliance, an effort to join Tishomingo, Alcorn and Prentiss counties to cooperate on economic development projects, is founded on the principal that success in one area can benefit all.
Tishomingo County Development Foundation Executive Director Gary Matthews, says money does not recognize political boundaries, nor does the workforce.
Working from a pattern established by the highly successful PUL Alliance created by Pontotoc, Union and Lee counties which ultimately brought Toyota to Mississippi, organizers of TAP are currently in the process of creating a final agreement of cooperation.
Gary Chandler, president of The Alliance, said in his previous work in north Alabama he had witnessed firsthand the success to be had through regional economic development efforts.
