FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas center Jonathan Luigs was chosen Sunday by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the NFL draft, the 106th selection overall.
"Jonathan will play a long time on the next level," Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino said. "He is flexible enough to stay healthy. He is very, very smart. He will know what to do and will immediately pick up the offense. He has the physical tools to do it."
Luigs, from Little Rock, was the first Razorback to win the Rimington Trophy awarded to the nation's top center. He he won the award in 2007. As a junior he also earned won the Jacobs Trophy, awarded annually to the best blocker in the Southeastern Conference.
